Lea Salonga Instagram – When a Swatch isn’t just a Swatch… My very generous Swatch fairy Tita Virgie Ramos recently asked, as she sometimes does, if I was interested in pieces from a particular collection. This piece I’m wearing was one she strongly suggested, and when I saw the photo she sent of it, I told her this story. My late father Feliciano, every day for much of his adult life, wore the original Moonwatch, an Omega Speedmaster. Consider it a core memory therefore that the image of that timepiece on his wrist is burned in my mind. After his passing I bought myself one, but after deeming it a bit heavy for my wrist, passed it on to Gerard who wears it almost every day himself now. My relationship with my father wasn’t by any means perfect, but I choose to remember whatever good there was when I look at this Moonshine Swatch, which my wrist can totally handle.
