Leeza Gibbons Instagram – Every year, wishes are scrolled and placed inside an ornament on our WISH tree. Family, guests and friends share their wishes for the world, themselves, the future. I love this tradition because it’s all about hope. When we search for the best in us, it’s easier to find it. When we state our intention, it illuminates the path forward more clearly. One of my favorite quotes is by Emily Dickinson: “Hope is the thing with feathers – That perches in the soul – And sings the tune without the words – And never stops – at all ” I’ll never stop wishing and hoping. Yes, we need to have action to power them, but Wishes are primal screams for happiness, for change and they don’t exist without hope. So, this year (as with every other) I wrap up the year with Wishes for the next.
