There’s something truly chilling about the strike ending and having to contend with this. As someone for whom “voice” is paramount (god knows it’s not plot or historical import) I’m completely gutted and whipsawed. I am outraged and at the same time feel utterly helpless. I feel sheepish as though I’m fist shaking at the internets or machinery and I’ve often made the joke that after Armageddon they’ll bring writers back after soul cycle instructors but I’m scared. I’m furious and want to fight but I’m also so tired. Grateful to the union for protecting us with the language around AI-usage in the MBA but also wow is it all ongoing. 🙏❤️
