I’m currently on a family holiday with no treadmill and it’s either raining or boiling hot, neither of which are conducive to exercising.
I have very limited space. But I’ve exercised every day in this small area by doing @movebymamamia workouts. For me, the key to regular exercise is removing barriers – time, space, money.
And since exercise helps me manage my mental health, I need to do it every day. Even if it’s just for 15mins. I’ve done this for more than 20 years.
How though?
I know consistency is what most people struggle with when they are trying to exercise.
These 2 things are key:
1. DO SOMETHING THAT DOESN’T REQUIRE YOU TO LEAVE THE HOUSE
You might have little kids. It might be raining or boiling. Or night-time. You need a form of exercise you can do at home or in a hotel room or an AirBNB.
This also saves you time getting to and from your exercise location.
3. DO SOMETHING THAT DOESN’T NEED EQUIPMENT
For many years, I’ve used a treadmill but they are tricky to take on holiday, they’re expensive to buy, they take up a lot of room and they break down Mine did during lockdown which forced me to explore online exercise videos and apps and they all left me feeling terrible about myself which is why we created @movebymamamia .
I can choose a Move workout to fit in whatever time I have and whatever I feel like doing, pilates, cardio, strength, yoga….. I started using Move right before we launched when I was basically back at beginner level because I was recovering from minor surgery.
Now my fitness is back to normal and I’ve found Move workouts to suit every level of my fitness along the way.
I’ve done Move workouts in hotel rooms, in bedrooms, in a garage, in my kitchen and in a garden. We have made Move to be low-key, highly effective and a body positive antidote to a lot of the fitness apps and videos that make you feel terrible about yourself.
The most effective workout is one you enjoy and one you do. @movebymamamia is both those things. Give it a try if moving more is something you’ve been thinking you want to do in 2024.
There’s a link in my bio.
And you can ask any questions in the comments and the Move team will answer them.

Golden Globes host Jo Koy opened the show by saying “Oppenheimer is based on a 721-page Pulitzer Prize-winning book about the Manhattan Project, and Barbie is on a plastic doll with big boobies,” which angered a lot of people, but it’s what happened after the joke with the winners list that we should be discussing, writes @laura_brodnik

“According to an increasing number of busy, sleep-deprived mums, it’s not the sound of a wine bottle opening that signals the end of a tough week, but a container of colourful gummies,” writes Vanessa Mulquiney for @mamamiaaus.

Tristan Redman had every reason to believe in ghosts after what happened in his childhood bedroom and he wasn’t the only one that experienced it. Then things got even weirder. Tristan discovered his wife’s great-grandmother was murdered in the house next door. That can’t just be a strange coincidence, can it?
Tristan went to see psychic mediums and detectives to try to untangle an extremely complicated murder plot. Tomorrow’s No Filter episode is particularly creepy…

Their love story kicked off during the height of the COVID pandemic, and they didn’t waste any time. Listen to the whole conversation wherever you get your favourite podcasts.

Frocks, frocks and also? Frocks. A couple of jackets and skirts. But frocks. Were they winners? Did they slay? Mostly yes. Occasionally no.
Get them all into your eyes via the link in my bio and decide for yourself. My fave was Issa Rae.
