Mia Freedman Instagram – The other thing I love about exercising at home with @movebymamamia – along with the flexibility to do it at any time in any weather – is the lack of dress code.
Exercising in public or going to a class always feels like implicit pressure to look a certain way and the mental load of even having to look presentable. Takes more time. Costs more money. Can’t be bothered.
Exercising at home has saved me a fortune over the years bc I honestly just need a good sports bra and sometimes sneakers depending on what exercise I’m doing.
It’s not uncommon for my family to come across me exercising in my pyjamas or even just my undies when it’s hot.
Apparently this is frowned upon in public.
I’ve exercised with masks on my face (skin masks not the other kind 😷) and treatments in my hair – so much multi tasking.
And no need for $200 leggings with a matching top.
For me, exercise has always been about how I feel while doing it and the massive benefits I feel afterwards.
Not how I look or what I wear.
The fewer barriers between you and exercise, the more likely it is you’ll do it regularly. Which is a big reason we developed The Move fitness app . To eliminate those barriers
