Im beyond thrilled to be joining @kctransformations and these wonderful humans to be apart of the 2024 National Community Advisory Board.
Our board will bring together the expertise and perspectives of national leaders within our priority population, specifically Trans Women of Color, to help guide and shape all of our organization’s initiatives. This includes reviewing existing programs and developing new ones to better serve our communities. 🤝🔥
So, what can we expect in the long run? Well, our goals are ambitious and transformative!
1️⃣ We aim to reduce the disparities and challenges faced by trans women of color and young people in survival mode in our region.
2️⃣ We want to advocate for policy changes that address intersectional systems of oppression. We strive to improve the well-being and resilience of our priority population.
3️⃣ And last but not least, we aim to foster a strengthened sense of community and empowerment with leadership development.
We couldn’t be more thrilled about this new chapter and the positive impact it will have on the lives of trans women of color and young people. But most especially, in supporting our vision to create a world where trans and gender-expansive young people, who may not have traditional support systems, receive the care and resources that honor their unique experiences while nurturing their leadership skills and empowering their lives. 🌍✨
