As he presented his storyboard and vision, the producers texted each other saying, “He’s the one! No more Zooms!” And when you see the movie this weekend, you’ll see why. He not only brings the story to life in ways that only he could, but most importantly he gave Celie an imagination. We get to see her escape the world she lives in and imagine herself in a different life, something that helps her survive and ultimately thrive. We could not have done this re-imagination of this classic without Blitz. When you cry, laugh, yell at the screen, and sing out loud, know it’s his vision and execution that brought you there.
