Regina Spektor Instagram – Happy New Year friends. I hope with all my heart that this is a better year. Please, 2024, step on up and bring us much needed peace, friendship, wisdom, compassion, tolerance, nuance, multitudes, magic, and of course, art and music. Music saves me every day. To get to spend new year with the people I love and with @billyjoel who is as warm and welcoming as he is brilliant- was just beyond. I will never forget it. I only wish my papa was alive to be there-to hug, and dance, and freak out with. But I am so grateful for all the good and the love and the time given. I know better days are ahead. I know wise words from the time of King Solomon are still true- “This, too, shall pass”. I hope with all my heart that the hostages return to their families and can have peace and healing after these harrowing and brutal months of being stolen away. I wait and will continue to wait. And remember. And pray. I hope that a new safety and peace can be found in a world that has been brutally torn. I hope that leaders worthy of us can come and lead us to peace. I hope our higher selves rise up and give us strength and guidance. This planet is built for healing. Everything heals with time. I remember the ones I miss. I remember the ones I lost. I remember the ones I have. I await those I’m yet to meet on this path. I love this world so much. And I love you. Stay strong, hopeful, healthy and brave. And thank you for being here.
