Sarah Butler Instagram – Harry Mastrogeorge has died. He was my acting teacher for many years, and continued to care for me and influence my life even after the pandemic stopped official classes. Harry set the most impossibly high bar for all his students, and somehow convinced us all we were capable of reaching it. He was tough, and made me cry a handful of times over the years. He also ate a muffin every break and asked how I was doing. He never once said “good job,” but he taught us how to know for ourselves when we had done a good job. He loved classic movies, the Steelers, and his grandchildren. We knew a few of them well. I am thinking of them today, and feeling a small piece of their ache at losing their grandfather, who was such a mountain of a man and impacted so many. Which is the perfect legacy for him. Harry always said that the greatest measure of success you can have as an actor is how deeply you are able to impact on others. ❤️ He only acted for a short part of his life, but he never stopped impacting.
