Scottie Thompson Instagram – So this happened…
A dream come true in a vision being birthed. I wrote, directed, produced and acted in my first film, a short film, but a film nonetheless. And I could not have asked for a more incredible cast and crew of collaborators. Friends I’ve known for years, folks I have reconnected with after years, and new faces. All of whom carry worlds of talent.
Thank you first of all to the profoundly talented DP @gipperpl , the calm center to my spinning ball of energy. And to my wildly talented cast @alyshiaochse (yes to finally playing sisters!) @meta2meta @imbrettdalton @bowmantheofficial @rupakginn @lisaleecooper . You all brought your characters to life in ways beyond my most absurd imaginations. This could not have happened without my insanely skilled and committed producers @leannerichele @ivysinstagram @melbic21 . You ladies made this world spin into existence and I am forever grateful. And Leanne, you really are Macgyver. And to the visionary department heads, wow: @alessandro_marvelli for your realm creating, @bowmanmakeup @laurenlit for painting us into beauty (despite zero sleep dark circles for days on my end), @ninawarrick for donning us in such a fabulous palette. To the captain @micktmugnai for jumping in last minute and so effectively steering our ship. To the beyond brilliant @trincervantez for propping us up to perfection. To @olegolden for keeping us perfectly attuned. To the incredibly hardworking and professional camera, grip and electric department. Wow. Thank you @kansasstarr for keeping such a good eye on us. To @birds_eye_photo for capturing us behind the scenes. And @georgeesquivel for special slippers to dance in (that I thankfully saved from the rain). And a most special thank you @john_hindman451 for guiding me through each step of this process and each hat I wore with the most sincere kindness, care and craft. You are a gift.
I am so beyond grateful to each and every person who helped me along the way bringing this story to life, and to each and every artist and craftsman who came on board the shoot. We made some seriously magic shit dancing in the rain. So much so that we wrapped with rainbow.
