Curated by @marlene_angel_bk in collaboration with @ctmfestival Suzanne Ciani is not only responsible for some of the greatest synthesizer music ever produced, but she often did it first, shaping and developing techniques that have been pored over for decades. The five-time Grammy award-nominated composer has released over twenty solo albums, and has been inducted into the first class of Keyboard Magazineʼs Hall of Fame alongside other synth luminaries, including Bob Moog, Don Buchla, and Dave Smith. Marta De Pascalis’ sonic world acts as an uncanny translator that freezes and expands emotions, conveying them into unique soundscapes. Her solo works employ analogue, fm synthesis, and a tape-loop system, whereby she carves waveforms to shape cathartic sound bodies.
