Tan Kheng Hua Instagram – I just wanted to cook. This meal was miso gochujang hoisin ribs (i couldnt decide so threw all in), smash potatoes, cinnamon pumpkin, grapefruit thai style salad, bought leg of ham, roasted root veggies, my bro’s scrumptious cauliflower gratin and sourdough were the stars. I love to cook. For her. For them. I am not a very good cook but i love to cook for people i love. And i enjoy it in a special way. I love thinking about what to cook. And googling. And youtubing. And making lists. I love timing. Scheduling. Organising. Making sure. And when i’m cooking i like having white noise and mindless moving visuals. This christmas meal prep was made with the guys and dolls of Single’s Inferno. Sometimes when something’s in the oven, i jump rope and get some exercise in. I dont need or want help. Except to clean. And i’ve got great help for that. I like to make pretty – pretty house, pretty table, pretty toilet. Auntie Win’s intricate hand crochet mats are out! And the napkin set from my wedding gift list 30 years ago! I am home for now and these are the things and people and action that is all about how i love, how i am loved, how i share, express and receive love. And there’s so much of it here, and also there and everywhere i am and go. I am having such a deeply, happy holiday, my friends. And i am deeply happy. And thankful.
