The recruits step into a place they’ve never been before: the supermarket! Chefs Anne Burrell and I test the recruits’ taste buds to see who can successfully identify ingredients and navigate the supermarket aisles to locate them. For the skill drill challenge, recruits compete head-to-head and prepare tostadas. Then in the main dish cook, we teach our teams how to make fresh tortellini from scratch with sauce just like Nonna used to make! The recruits with the best dishes get another week in their basket, but the least successful recruits have to check out.
