Caption : I never feel my character on the first day of shoot. No amount of prep or thinking helps. When I sit in the makeup chair on Day 1, I feel like an imposter. It’s the people around who believe I am that name on the door of the vanity van. With Habiba, it was no different. Armed with a brilliant arc thanks to @rensildsilva @filmwaalasam @chaitanya.chopra and the right words and rhythm gifted by @abbasdalal @hussain.dalal , I arrived on set with gratitude towards @castingbay knowing very well, I wasn’t her yet. It’s the conviction and talent of a great team that sails you through. Things you do everyday become a ritual and somewhere along the way you become the person. And @shujaatsaudagar . @shujaatsaudagar right from the first reading called me Habiba with belief I didn’t have and in that short amount of time, nobody else could’ve had. He put his trust in me and his heart and soul into his work every single day. He made me believe.. in me, in this world. After all, #BambaiMeriJaan is his world, we’re just fortunate to live in it. Somewhere along this journey I started feeling my character’s pulse. And on the last day, I cried.
