Anasuya Bharadwaj Instagram – While India gained independence from the British Raj in 1947, it wasn’t until January 26, 1950, that the Constitution of India came into effect, and the country became a sovereign state, declaring it a republic.. and while India’s Independence came into effect on this day 75 years ago from external exploitation .. its not exaggeration to state that many are deprived of the basic status of equality , opportunity and liberty within the country irrespective of gender, caste, creed or religion.. having said that.. it would be wrong not to acknowledge the progression we are making as a country.. but taking the opportunity of this day to remind us of our preamble #JaiHind 🇮🇳 #75thRepublicDay #RepublicDay2024
