However, there are arrival and departure points. There are milestones the memory of which goes on to give us strength and encourages us to do better and more, augmenting our enthusiasm despite the many burdens that the world carries in the new millennium. One of the most beautiful and significant events of the past year stands out, the “Empowering Youth through Music” event. On December 11th, we were invited by the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York to share our work in empowering young people. We explained the concept of caring for the individual, which, according to ABF, can only be achieved through education using innovative approaches and tools that recognize art, music, and digital technology as valuable educational resources. In that prestigious location, we had the opportunity to present, among other things, a project that is particularly near and dear to us: “ABF – Voices of”, a multi-year strategic program (and an educational pilot model) that we have developed and perfected, which takes shape through the creation of regional choirs and other educational activities in vulnerable areas of the world, with a view to building participatory educational spaces that involve the entire community. Every day is important, and objectively the days when we can work, actively and in the field, away from the spotlight, are even more so. Yet the day in which we were asked to bring our experience to the glass skyscraper, in front of the highest representatives of the United Nations, due to our innovative and valuable best practices, is a moment that we cherish. It is further confirmation that we are on the right path, which spurs us on to do better and double down on our efforts. @andreabocellifoundation Every day is important in the work of each member of the extended ABF family.
