Barack Obama Instagram – On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, let’s help girls everywhere pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. At the White House Science Fairs, we used to invite young people from across the country to share their ideas and hard work. I always looked forward to it. One year, I met this talented group of Girl Scouts from Tulsa, Oklahoma who saw the impact of devastating floods in Colorado and designed a flood-proof bridge using Lego bricks. They also brought me some pretty great headgear. Our world is better with the ideas and perspectives of girls like them. So let’s make sure we do our part to give them the support and tools they need to reach their full potential.
