I hadn’t been back to Kurokawa Hot Spring since 2021, when we shot the music video for ‘Too Much Volcano’ on Journey Across Japan. I forgot how bonkers the ryokans were here. Everything is on another level, from the private baths in the room to the woodwork and surrounding scenery. A real gem and a top reason to get down to Kyushu.
