‼️ There have only been 1️⃣2️⃣ BLACK SENATORS out of 2000 senators
❓ What does a senator do🤷🏿♀️
👉🏿 CONGRESS = House of Representatives SENATE
👉🏿The Senate GIVES ADVICE to The President and they are the court for impeachment
‼️ The House The Senate INTRODUCE LEGISLATION and PASS LAWS
🗣️WE NEED DIVERSITY
👉🏿otherwise we risk IMPORTANT LEGISLATION not happening
🙏🏿THANKFULLY we had Senator Edward Brooke leading the charge in passing the CIVIL RIGHTS ACT of 1968
🙏🏿It took over 100 years and 200 attempts before the Emmett Till Antilynching Act of 2022 was passed with Senator Booker, Senator Scott, and Senator Warnock.
👉🏿We need BLACK SENATORS when it comes to issues facing the Black community

– Maternal Health Awareness
– Juneteenth as a Federal Holiday
– Sickle Cell Disease Legislation
– Black Farmers Act
– etc etc
