David Bowie Instagram – GOODBYE NICKY GRAHAM This morning, Kevin Cann posted about the sad passing of Nicky Graham whose career with David Bowie may have been relatively short, but he made an important contribution, nevertheless. + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + Very sad to report that musician, songwriter and producer Nicky Graham has died aged 79. He will forever be appreciated by the worldwide Bowie community for his help and support for David in the early days of GEM management, where by day he would make endless phone calls to venues around the UK booking David Bowie and the Spiders’ earliest legendary shows, and by night would join David and band on stage and play piano – dressed as a Spider from Mars, with the Spiders from Mars. He worked for and with David and band for six months, from February to August 72, and was with them when they made their never to be forgotten Top of the Pops ‘Starman’ appearance that same year. A genuinely nice man, well respected in the music industry and greatly missed by his family, Nicky passed away on Saturday, February 3rd 2024.
