LGBT people have been used as pawns by bad faith politicians for knocking on a decade now. Enough is enough. This week Rishi Sunak once again used trans people as a political punch line at prime ministers questions. The week where a grieving mother of a trans girl Brianna Ghey who was brutally murdered was in the gallery. The same week he had said his thoughts were with her family. Trans people have been consistently let down by the Tory government over the last 6 or more years, with their reneged promises on easing documentation procedures and banning conversion therapy right through to now full throated undermining of their existence. Hate crime against LGBT people has risen year on year since 2010.
