Jay DeMarcus Instagram – This is the weapon of a prayer warrior… While I was home I picked my Momma’s Bible up and there was not a page that didn’t have notes in the margins, verses underlined, or watershed moments memorialized. This woman fought for her family on her knees. I know that her prayers saved me a thousand times over-sometimes from myself.
It’s amazing to hold and read because I can here her voice in every “note” she made. The love and devotion she had for her Savior is palpable with the turn of every page.
While little is left of the strong, faithful woman that raised me, I can hold on to things like this and for a moment, remember…
I can remember the foundation she laid in me-even when I was so aggravated that she would drag us off to church four times a week… She planted the seeds in me that have taken root and prepared me for times just like these. When I feel so helpless to handle all of the things that life inevitably throws at us, my faith carries me through and gives me the strength to keep moving forward.
