$Lady Bunny Instagram – Most black voters pull the lever for Democrats in every election. In 2016, 7% voted for Trump. In 2020, that went up to only 8%. Wanna know what it is now? Between 17-21% of black voters supporting Trump. 20% said they’d vote for someone else besides either major parties’ candidates. My twitter buddy Jay nails it in this tweet. Not only did black voters not get any of the big ticket items he listed in his tweet, they got nothing except Ketanji Brown and Juneteenth. Biden’s conservative Democrats didn’t cancel but a fraction of student debt, after claiming that he’d cancel all the debt at HBCUs. The $15 min wage would’ve helped women of color the most, who Dems love to claim “Vote like you’re a black woman—they saved us! When will Dems return the favor? Biden was not willing to stack the courts or to even modify the filibuster to get The George Floyd Act passed, with a Dem majority in both houses of Congress. Democrats get the lion’s share of black votes, and get very little in return. Biden told Georgia voters that if they voted in Senators Ossoff and Warnock, that he’d send out a $2k stimulus check. Well, both won, but people got a $1400 check instead because Biden lied again at his term’s start. Yet we see senators so eager to vote for Ukraine/Israel aid that they literally just stayed up all night to transfer our tax $ to help people outside this country—some of whom many don’t want to help. Trump’s unlikely to pass a higher min wage or push for the George Floyd Act if he wins, so Dems blew it. What will loyal black voters get instead? A hip-hop task force, because music pays your bills? That’s actually better than last week’s video Biden released of him visiting a black family who he’d bought fried chicken for. (I’m not kidding.) This level of pandering is right up there with Hillary Clinton’s infamous hot sauce. And you know what? If you’d passed 1/4 of what you promised black voters or voters of any other kind, you could brag on your many achievements, not embarrass yourself with stunts like these. Biden needs black voters to win, yet he refused to earn their votes at his own candidacy’s peril. And at the reputation of the Dem party.$
