Nikki Sixx Instagram – Most every morning as the suns coming up, coffee in hand, before the family is up I get to spend an hour just getting lost enjoying playing bass. I trip on ideas and sometimes record snippets or then add a few lyrics or melody ideas. Years later some of these become songs or beginning ideas for songs. Some version of this has been with me for what seems like forever. I remember doing this when I wrote Live Wire and calling Tommy who still lived with his parents and playing it for him over the phone . It’s not just the creativity,it’s the idea of sharing the idea with someone who then becomes part of the development of the idea. Thats the best part of being in a band-This just doesn’t apply to music of course. I always end my morning by saying to myself “Today is gonna be a great day” this particular bass is made my friend @nelsonguitarwerks which is based on a tele bass with an almost thunderbird style neck.
