Scooter Braun Instagram – Another adventure

Scooter Braun Instagram – They matter. On February 4th here in Los Angeles the 66th Grammy awards were held. At that show the CEO of the Recording Academy @harveymasonjr made a statement to the world that music festivals must remain a “safe place.” He acknowledged that the massacre that took place at the Nova music festival must be acknowledged and never happen again. On that day on October 7th over 300 innocent music lovers were murdered and to this day over 40 are still being held hostage, including American citizens. Earlier today I posted that bystanders in our society cannot remain silent. I spoke about how true leaders speak up when things are hard. We must remember that Two things can be true. We can want for ALL innocent people to be protected. And we can acknowledge those music lovers at the Nova music festival. Harvey didn’t need to make a statement that day but he and Ben Winston, the producer of the Grammys, after acknowledging Manchester and Las Vegas attacks in 2018, they decided they had to use their voices. This video is of survivors of that festival. And as you can hear, Harvey and @mrbenwinston made a difference and let them know that they matter and so do their friends. It’s so easy for so many of us to forget that these are just kids. We all love music and that could’ve been any of us at the Nova music festival. Thank you to Harvey and Ben for letting these kids know that they and the friends that they lost matter and those still being held hostage… matter. Thank you for their leadership and to our community for taking a stand. Music is and must remain a safe space. We will dance again :)
