Shreyas Talpade Instagram – Today as I do a GUEST APPEARANCE for a song that I did 18 years ago, I would love to tell you the interesting story of when I heard the original song for the first time. This is before my first film Iqbal has released & was still in post production. @subhashghai1 sir had called me to Amadeus studios in Andheri for some work. After we finished discussing our work, Subhashji took me to a music sitting room where @ipritamofficial Da was working on a song. The moment we entered, he told Subhashji excitedly that he had cracked a song & started playing ‘Dil mein baji guitar’ on his guitar & even sang a bit of it. I instantly loved it & remembered the tune. Subhashji generally asked for my opinion & I said ‘Sir I feel it’s a Superhit tune’. Little did I know that in a year’s time I would be a part of the same song…but as we know it now, destiny has interesting ways of connecting you with the things meant for you. Next year I became a part of ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’…a film where I wasn’t the first choice. An Actor dropped out & I was selected last minute. We shot the song & it became my second hit song after Aashayein. 18 years later I am so happy & proud to be a small part of that same song yet again…albeit in a different Avatar…& to be doing it with the wonderful @saietamhankar who our production company introduced in films & the current heartthrob @sidchandekar. Thank you Kumar Taurani ji & @tips for rehashing a song which by God’s grace still remains fresh as ever.
