It’s Vaeda’s first day of Pre K & her first time on “the big kid bus” & I’m not okay! 😩😭 idk how this happened so fast, but it’s hitting me hard in my chest this morning. But why does she have to keep growing up though!? 😭 It’s such a bittersweet feeling when you witness your little girl growing up so beautifully, because you’re so happy & proud of who she’s becoming…but at the same time you’re sad, because you know that witnessing such beauty, inevitably comes with the cost of her leaving one day & I just don’t want to pay that price yet! I wrote this one night just sitting in my car as I sobbed uncontrollably from how desperately low I was feeling. I was just emotionally destroyed in that moment & by the time I was done writing it, I had this immense peace just rush over me!
I never planned on releasing my music since it was really just a creative expression to help me cope with my own emotions & feelings. But then my wife said something that just stuck with me. She said:
“Babe, someone out there is feeling exactly like you were when you wrote this. How do you know if that certain someone needs to hear their own pain reflected by you, so they don’t feel so alone, if you never release it?”
& then I thought about it more intensely…maybe these songs aren’t meant to stay locked away forever? Maybe these songs are bigger than just my own personal healing? Maybe someone out there can relate, connect to them & not feel so alone? So it’s my duty to honor that regardless of what anyone else thinks of it! Because…
My EXISTENCE does NOT require ACCEPTANCE for it to be AUTHENTIC!
ART is subjective & art can never be wrong, only misunderstood & this just happens to be MY form of art. CUTTING SEASON IS HERE! For this recent lean mass gain, I had set certain goals for each of my main lifts. I’m pumped to say that I reached them all except 1 (only by 10lbs 🤬) but it’s all good, I’m still pretty proud of myself & I know I’ll get it next time!
✔️ Bench – 225lbs (nailed it!)
✖️ Deadlift – 390lbs (goal was 400)
✔️ Squat – 330lbs (goal was only 315!)
Now it’s time to shred this fat percentage down to see what I’ve been working on! LET’S GO! #FitnessJourney 😤💪🏻😏
