When did I become somebody who hikes alone for her birthday? This is me on the Overlook Mountain Fire Tower yesterday afternoon, shortly before a harrowing slip and slide back down an insanely icy trail and a celebratory lunch at @phoeniciadiner (SO GOOD). Not pictured: Me. This weekend did not include being Instagram ready. You’ll just have to trust me when I say it was a 10/10 celebration of myself.
