Back to square one and then some! Just had a three hour wrist surgery today. Pillow is the keep my arm in place while I elevate – we call it ‘Bluey.’ (in honor of a certain Australian cartoon Dog)
My aunt, Louise Gluck, died today. She was a remarkable person, and I’ll miss her so. She also was a world famous poet and if you haven’t read her poetry, you should. Bitter Existential Truth written on every page. It was an honor to be related to her. I was so lucky to have known her the way I did. Goodbye, Louise. I love you.

Got a new cast earlier this week. I think it makes me look badass (lol). But seriously, if anyone who’s been in a cast before has any advice for me on how to minimize the near constant pain and discomfort, I’m all ears!
