Autumn Reeser Instagram – 🤍 🖤 🤍 Today my son told me that his favorite thing about me as a parent is that I make him feel seen. (…um, I basically won a Parenting Oscar in that moment, amiright?) To me, that should be our goal as parents. Not getting them into the ‘right’ school or making sure they excel in their activities or showing them off to our friends… but giving our children the irreplaceable gift of feeling truly known. I’ve spent the last decade learning how to know myself and I feel in my bones that that is how I’ve been able to transform into a parent who can truly know her child. I believe that when we have created that level of trust and intimacy (with ourselves first, and then with others), everything else can grow from that fertile soil.
