Bojana Novaković Instagram – Meeting up with my favorite human rights advocate @stevendonziger at our favorite NY restaurant @kafananyc and talking about all the good trouble we’re about to make in the name of environmental justice. I met Steven and his amazing family while he was still under house arrest in 2021 for being too good at his job and winning a massive case against Chevron in 🇪🇨 Ecuador. (If you don’t know Steven’s story I recommend @the_real_erin_brockovich’s article in The Guardian. It covers the case against him in the greatest detail.) Since then, Steven has been a supporter and mentor – particularly for us in our work with @mars_sa_drine in Serbia against Rio Tinto’s proposed lithium mine in the Jadar Valley.
