Charlene White Instagram – What a night at the premiere of @onelovemovie. My gosh. It left so many of us emotional from the moment the film began.
Such a visual celebration of Jamaican excellence required an outfit designed by a fellow Brit of JA heritage. So I decided to rock menswear designer @biancasaunders. (It’s a men’s co-ord and possibly one of the most comfy outfits EVER)
But it was important to bring my aunt with me (can we get several high-fives for the way she’s slaying the red carpet please? She makes 72 look gooooooood right?!). The Bob Marley story is her story too… as it is for so many of her generation.
It’s a film that celebrated the best of our little island Jamaica, but also showed slivers of the hardships my parents’ generation and those that followed had to endure. It really is a beautiful film. And I’ve been listening to Exodus on repeat all day.
Thanks and congratulations to the whole Marley family for telling his story, on their own terms.
