Our work as artists goes beyond the final credits or a final bow. This is what the work is really about, why I became an artist in the first place, because what we do can truly be life changing in so many ways. And if you’ve been following my journey you know I didn’t get here over night. There were so many No’s along the road that truly prepared me for this major YES I have just received.

Somebody sent me this clip, and it almost brought me to tears. Acting means everything to me. It’s about the family you build along the way (cast and crew), the incredible stories you get share, and the activist work that comes along with it. At the time, I was so new in the game, and playing Taystee taught me so much about myself and the type of artist I wanted to be. So glad I got to be apart of this show. A throwback to #TaysteeTuesday
