Dina Deleasa Instagram – Easy Cheesy Sloppy Joe Sliders are a great way to change things up at dinner time. I suspect they are also a good option for all of the upcoming Superbowl snacking! This dish comes together rather quickly. You can also make them ahead of time and pop them in the oven later in the day. The melted garlic rosemary butter brushed over top of the buns, really sends it over the top!
1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/4 cup diced yellow or white onion
1lb ground beef
salt
pepper
smoked paprika
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon light brown sugar
package of hawaiian style dinner rolls
1 cup shredded cheese of choice, divided
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp chopped garlic
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
Preheat oven to 350 degrees,
In a saucepan over medium heat, Add the olive oil to the pan over medium heat, then add the onion & garlic & saute for 2 minutes.
Add the ground beef & sprinkle with salt & pepper. Using a spoon, break up the meat and stir until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, mustard,and Worcestershire. Pour over the meat and stir to combine. Sprinkle the brown sugar over top.Let it simmer together for 5 minutes. Turn off heat.
Cut the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom half in a buttered baking dish.
Top with meat and sprinkle with cheese. Place the top of the rolls back on top.
Brush the rolls with melted garlic butter (ingredients above)
Bake for 15 minutes, or until rolls are toasted and cheese is melted.
