Gia Kim Instagram - Some spontaneous solo excursions around California leading up to bday. Amazing few days of music, podcasts, walking, and journaling. I wrote down things that don’t serve me and threw them into the flames - other people’s opinions on what I do/ say/ am, body image issues, insecurities, negative self-talk, self-judgment, self-doubt, people-pleasing, the need to be understood, external validation,,, other people‘s opinions on what I do/ say/ am. Spent 6 hours just sitting and staring into the fire. It’s truly amazing how much I could learn from just the fire alone. Also just getting close to other animals in their natural habitats just served as a reminder we cohabit and coexist on this planet and too often we act like we own this place. Mother nature truly is the best teacher and I can’t think of anything better to reset and re-configurate my mind, body, and spirit. Life will always throw BS our way and try to give us every reason to throw in the towel, turn sour, and live a guarded life. We can do that, build up a wall and live a life that might keep us “safe,” but it will be stagnant and nothing will ever be extraordinary - OR - we can deal with the BS, but still believe and risk it all for the possibility of something bigger and better - knowing full well we can fail/ get hurt/ betrayed/ disappointed/ all of the above - but dare to experience beyond the ordinary. And I solemnly swear (that I’m up to no good :P) & promise myself that I will always dare to choose the latter.. because yes we can attract what we want, but more accurately so we attract WHO WE ARE. 💫🙌🏻🌏🌝🪐
