Home Actress Greta Thunberg HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers February 2024 Greta Thunberg Instagram - Yesterday I and three other activists from @fridaysforfuture.swe joined local Sami activists for a manifestation in Gállok. Here, on indigenous land, a British mining company wants to build a mine. That would be a disaster for the climate and environment. The Sami communities affected have clearly and repeatedly said no to this mine. We now await the Swedish government’s decision on whether they will allow this to happen or not. The short-term profits of a British mining company cannot be prioritised over the culture and rights of the Sámi people, as well as our climate, biodiversity and clean air and water. No matter what the people in power might claim, this mine will not be a part of a “green transition”. The time for false, neo-colonial climate “solutions” is over. The Swedish government must end the colonisation of Sápmi and the exploitation of people and nature. Greta Thunberg Instagram – The Swedish government today approved a mine in Gállok, in Sápmi on indigenous land. By doing so Sweden confirmed its shortsighted, racist, colonial and nature-hostile approach. Sweden pretends to be a leader for environment and human rights, but at home they violate indigenous rights and continue waging a war on nature. The world will remember this.
