Jaswinder Gardner Instagram – For an actor theater is a very sacred place. It’s the starting point of every actor’s journey and it is there that the primary foundation stone is laid on which their career is then built brick by brick. Theater is the spawning ground of great actors. For me I like to imagine theater as a temple where I go to practice my religion. I love my craft and get boundless joy watching plays or even more being a part of one.
No sooner the lights dim out and the curtain goes up – the play unfolds, magic begins. There is no cut, no retake – the actors hold the audience spellbound continuously for the entire length of the play with their live, energetic and mesmerising performance. Commendable indeed and that’s what I just love. The appreciation and applause is the fix for an actor. One could only be filled with awe to see such brilliant actors from the NSD performing so effortlessly , so flawlessly. It was extremely inspiring and I can only ask is that theater lovers in the city keep showing up for these plays in support of all those associated with the industry who put in months and months of hard work just to be able to bring such wonderful work for us.
