Some ppl use “You Only Live Once” as an excuse to do whatever they want without considering the consequences.
I’m usually quite an overthinker, so I tend to worry about all possible consequences instead 😂 (n ppl who know me well always say that I’m too hard on myself)
However, a few health scares this yr, esp the recent ep, got me thinking abt several things~
1. The recent sacrifice to cut down on delicious noodles/rice/carbs for a flatter tummy – but what if there’s no chance to eat it anymore?
2. I don’t usually splurge on luxury items cos I’m a total advocate for saving for rainy days. But I feel a tinge of regret that I’ve never ever spent that amt of money on a pair of earrings for myself from THAT BRAND. #iloveearringsmorethanbags
Hence, I succumbed to my Chwee Kueh with lotsa cai por two wks ago, Indomie as supper last night, and I finally bought that pair of expensive earrings. 💵
Well, I might think differently next wk, or even tmr~ i.e. back to self-discipline & thriftiness 😂 But for now, I just want to pamper myself because 人生就这么几十年～
