Worried I’d miss an opportunity, terrified I’d do something ‘wrong’. I was so consumed and self-destructive that I sucked the joy, the life, right out of the moment. It’s been a big regret and bigger mission to never repeat this mistake. I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever have an opportunity like that again. How could I possibly?
Well here we are and I’ll be damned if I’m not gonna listen to my 6 years ago self. So I’m buying myself lillies because they are my favorite & quite literally make me stop, smell, reflect. Reading the outpour of sweet, thoughtful, precious words. Journaling. Keeping the healthy routines. Celebrating the people who got me here- where we are now, looking forward with excitement over stress, vowing to have fun while we improve. If I’ve learned anything it’s to be forever curious, forever a teacher, forever a student, forever a wide eyed, thankful, hard working dreamer.
