Laura Vandervoort Instagram – While in St. Lucia we saw so many stray dogs and it broke my heart we couldn’t save them all. But I knew we had a couple of passengers coming home with us, which made it a little easier. — There is an incredible animal rescue in St. Lucia called @helpaws (I heard about them because my sister got her dog, Maple from them) — So, we signed up to by ‘Flight Parents’ to bring back two adorable puppies, ‘Meeka’ and ‘Artie’ (brothers) to their wonderful foster families. Helpaws made the transition to the airport, paperwork and the foster hand off seamless. The dogs were so well behaved and quiet. We met awesome foster families at the airport who will take great care of them until they are adopted. If you’re in Canada — Artie and Meeka are available for adoption and the best little guys. We fell in love with them right away. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting in general (Not just in Canada) please check out @helpaws as they are in need of more foster families, flight parents and forever home adopters! The staff at @helpaws were so communicative and kind. They work hard to try to give these little ones a better future and you can be a part of that. Please check them out. 🫶🏻🐶🫶🏻
