Home Actress Lilly Singh HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers February 2024 Lilly Singh Instagram - Mumbai got me like 😁 It’s been 4 years since I’ve visited India because the pandemic cancelled all my plans in 2019. I usually visit 1-2 times a year and this has been the largest gap of not doing so in my career. Travelling is a privilege. And it’s one I prioritize working towards because I think travelling is responsible for a lot of my greatest strengths as a person. Namely, travelling so much has taught me to become adaptable and to recognize that your way, isn’t the only way. The reality is that we all grow up in a bubble, in which people talk a certain way, work a certain way, respect or disrespect people a certain way and problem solve a certain way. And it becomes very easy to think that way is the only and right way. But it’s not. And while I do strongly believe that there is much work to do in every country in the world, India included, to improve on issues like gender equality, that’s not the same as believing every part of another country or culture should operate in a way you’re familiar with. I’m used to doing business via email. This past week I learned to adapt to What’s App. I’m used to LA traffic and this past week I adapted because I experienced Mumbai traffic 😅 And I’m accustomed to alone time and slightly more personal space (a privilege in itself) but when you’re in the most populated country in the world, you have to adapt. And my favourite, I’m used to saying “yes, no or maybe” and now I’ve adapted and I have a head nod for every emotion. No words needed. We can become so used to making our surroundings suitable for us, which is a lovely luxury that people should practice if they can. I certainly do. But travelling reminds me that we also need to have the ability to adjust and pivot if the situation calls for it. And the situation often does in life, in relationships and in business. Travel is a great way to exercise that skill. And to get off your high horse a little bit and get humbled. Thank you for always welcoming me with open arms and hearts India❤️ 📸: @saulopez Mumbai, Maharashtra

Lilly Singh Instagram – I know I look like I just sold your house in this photo. It’s giving real estate agent, but I’m actually just so happy. Here’s why:

Last week I received the @DVF Leadership Award, among 4 other amazing women in Venice, Italy. Aside from this being a massive honor, the award also includes a grant to @UnicornIsland Fund, my charity that is on a mission to end gender inequality. And these resources are going to go so far in helping our work and mission.

To get really honest, here’s why I’m emotional. For the past 10 years of my life, I’ve known I wanted to be of service in this fight. I’ve had and continue to have such a deep desire to make the world a more just place for girls and women. But it’s been confusing, complex and difficult to understand how exactly to tackle this issue in a way that actually helps and makes sense. I had to find a way to contribute by using my unique skills. And over the past year, I feel like I’ve finally figured it out. I believe in the power of storytelling to change culture. And now I’m getting the resources, building the team, and doing the work to use storytelling and drive meaningful change.

Everyday I dedicate time to thinking about my charity, and how we can drive impact. I think about how to make this entire complex issue more accessible to my audience. I read books and articles to continue learning about the issues, so I can begin to tackle the solutions. And in a few days, the team and I will be heading to India to learn more on the ground. I’m excited to take you on my journey.

All this to say, moments of support like this really matter and really help.

So yeah, that’s why I’m a happy, grateful little bean. And if you’d like to be a little bean with me, follow @unicornisland to join the mission!
