Melanie Fiona Instagram – BACKSTORY: I am historically “not allowed” to participate in a “casual” night of #karaoke because my friends and family say “it’s not fair” 🎤 💁🏾‍♀️🙄😂… but if I get the pass to sing (cause rapping is always permitted lol)… there’s only two songs I’m ever going to do… “Midnight Train to Georgia” by Gladys Knight, and/or “Part of Your World” from #TheLittleMermaid

So one night random night at a Japanese restaurant in Vegas in a room full with people, half of who had no idea who I am or what I do… my cousin asked me to close the night out with this.

My response… “Say Less Fam”. 😎

In honor of my all time fav @disney movie releasing today, here’s a video of me living out my cinematic broadway esque Ariel dreams… the one i’ve been practicing since I was a little girl. I’m truly excited and deeply emotional that this movie/story is here again. 🥹

Congrats to my new hero @hallebailey for being the perfect Ariel, and allowing little Melanie and every other brown skin girl out there see our Disney magic realized on the big screen. ✨🤎✨
