Michelle Haro Instagram – I just saw this pic for the first time today, and it took my breath away, but not for the reasons one might think. On this shoot, Beauty Juice – directed by the amazing @tashalitas – it was filmed within a gorgeous bar/restaurant in Los Angeles. I don’t talk about it much, but this is me, looking across the bar, at the alcohol. It was triggering. These were the days right before I got sober. It was a struggle that day, my thoughts were on Jameson, Jack, & Makers. I didn’t sleep or eat much back then. And I’m pretty sure I was stand-offish during the shoot, but I tried my best.
Cut to now, I can’t begin to tell you how much has changed! Feels like I’ve done a complete 180. I have my health, I’m doing the work in terms of mental health, and I have the most amazing wife and kids! This career is interesting in that we tell stories, but it also captures a moment in time. I’m grateful that I can look back like this and see how far I’ve come🙏🏼❤️
