Monica Malik Instagram – The Indian Government’s Education Ministry has introduced new rules called the “Guidelines for Registration and Regulation of Coaching Centers 2024.”
Here are some important points:
➡️Students under 16 can’t enroll, and entry is only after completing secondary school exams.
➡️If a student withdraws mid-course, a refund is required within 10 days.
➡️No fee increases during the course, including both tuition and hostel charges.
➡️Each student must have a minimum of one square meter in class.
➡️Centers must apply for registration with their local authority.
➡️Coaching centers can’t make false promises to attract parents and students.
➡️Transparency is key; centers must have an updated website with info on tutors, courses, curriculum, duration, hostels, and fees.
➡️Fire safety, proper electrification, ventilation, lighting, CCTV cameras, medical kits, and security measures are a must.
➡️The curriculum should allow for student relaxation, and both students and tutors need weekly offs.
➡️Violating registration terms results in penalties: ₹25,000 for the first offense, Rs 1 lakh for a second, and registration revocation for subsequent breaches.
