She directed me to design and make a dress that looked like “capillaries and veins”. Since I love knitting and working with ribbons, I suggested using chiffon. I took deadstock silk chiffon, cut it into continuous ribbons, and knit those ribbons into panels. The panels were sewn together to create the illusion of “a capillary network”.
