This was the game of first complete 18 holes I’d been training to play – with our friends from the UK Joyce and Eddie, my sister Carol, club champion Tina, @harithiskander, my hubby Effendi and son Dani.
It was a rough first tee off, as you can hear from Dani’s reaction 🤪 but everyone was SO encouraging.- I love how they yelled “good shot” even when I was just so so – but it took the pressure off and my game improved so much over the 18 holes, so it was a good first outing for me, yay!!! 🏌♀️⛳️🤸🏽♀️

Met @papacj over lunch with @harithiskander last weekend. He’s award winning Indian stand-up comedian and public speaker known for his witty humor and thought-provoking performances, with an MBA degree from Oxford University.
Performed with some of the biggest names in comedy like Russell Peters and our own Harith Iskander 🙌🏼. We got talking about how he uses his comedy in leadership training! (Must team up with @enfinitiacademy @joannabessey on team building programmes!) What I found so cool is how he’s also known for his philanthropic work and his efforts to use comedy as a tool for social change. I can’t wait to read your book after all the rave reviews it got. We had a little family golf outing to celebrate Effendi’s birthday, and were so lucky to run into @galvgreen @paulsangolf @siddikur.rahman.golf training for the upcoming #MalaysianOpenGolf. That’s Galven and his massive drive in the first shot. So inspiring to watch, for a new golfer like me.
My son is Dani coaching me so I will have the confidence to finally play with some friends, next Tuesday. I’ll try not to let the team down 🥴

This is my shock and disbelief face, after watching Jezamine effortlessly hit 85.2m with a 9 Iron on her very first try at golf – after only 10 minutes of a lesson by Iqbal of @bigshot.asia 🤯 I love how she’s like “Eh no lah, no lah… earlier just now I even hit 100!” I have no words. Except maybe “Lydia Ko, you’ve got competition!”

I got the @tiarasaescapes kitchen team to r&d a new DENDENG PASTA dish for their menu recently, and I QC-ed it personally earlier this evening – verdict : not just yummy, but SUPER YUMMY. It’s SO full of all the right flavours you’d want in a fusion pasta, with a little extra “kick”.

Anyway, I think I’m getting the hang of not really working every day, and just spending the day doing nothing specific. Traveling by bus and tube, checking out the best cafes…. I think I could get used to semi retirement mode!
