Tiffany Derry Instagram – TV chef Tiffany Derry and her business partner, @txfoley announced a plan to franchise their quick-service restaurant Roots Chicken Shak to workers in marginalized communities. They’ll start in Dallas-Fort Worth.

“Our focus,” Foley says, “is on creating opportunities for those who don’t have the financial resources.”
The first Roots franchise will be in DeSoto, and it’s been in the works for 18 months. The next locations will depend on which entrepreneurs are picked. Interested potential franchisees can email info@rootschickenshakfranchising.com. The trait he’s looking for is “passionate.”

Tiffany Derry Instagram – This week is going to Be Extra Unique!!
This week is a double header so get ready to laugh and learn.
The recruits step into a place they’ve never been before: the supermarket! Chefs Anne Burrell and I test the recruits’ taste buds to see who can successfully identify ingredients and navigate the supermarket aisles to locate them.
For the skill drill challenge, recruits compete head-to-head and prepare tostadas. Then in the main dish cook, we teach our teams how to make fresh tortellini from scratch with sauce just like Nonna used to make! The recruits with the best dishes get another week in their basket, but the least successful recruits have to check out.
Next up Farm to Fumble and we’ll you gotta see it to believe it.
