I promise you, I will try to change that journey for the rest of your friends. I will never forget how you were always so happy when the little food we could give you came out. Warm mash your body begged for. Making that sweet little nicker saying ohhh thank you me please me. Man. This is hard. I’m sorry everyone. I really thought we were making progress and had turned it around. His temp was coming up. He was drinking. Sigh. This is not the way I expected this to go after such a great shift last night. Thank you for all your prayers and your unwavering support for myself, my team and Moon mountains mission. Sadely there also has to be room for this part. We are stepping out to the edge of life and death and saying “hold my hand baby” if there is a chance to breathe life we try. So many respond. The life in them comes bubbling up to live bc that is its nature. Some are on their journey onward. I imagine them thinking it’s so kind what we are attempting but they have already begun their drift. Felix. I’m so sorry. You were a special guy. In the short time you were with us you made one of the biggest splashes in town. Be a big beautiful Stallion up there in the stars. Head high, tail up, running through the clouds. Eternal pastures and all the food you can eat. You will always be the first horse to ride in my back seat❤️

Caption : 35 min left as I post to @equinesportsmedicineesm in cooler point tx. I actually pulled over because I felt he wanted to sit up more so I repositioned him and he seems much happier he wanted to be up more he’s moving around more he did kicked me once which was fun but overall I think he’s actually feeling better and he’s his legs have been getting warmer I’ve been massaging them the whole time we’ve been driving just about my arms probably gonna fall off when I get to the vet clinic We’re almost there!!!

Caption : This is BUNNY. We were told she was over 8 months old, fed three times a day concentrate mix, one flake of hay, half flake of alfalfa and nutrient dense fodder. I don’t need to say anything more. Honestly the proof is in the pudding. Body score 1= animal cruelty and starvation. These babies are not up for adoption and I’m shocked there is an Arabian rescue out there right now trying to peddle them in this condition. These babies will remain at moon mountain for obvious reasons until they are all in full health. Would you not agree with this mandate? As far as everything else goes, if your heart is not pointed towards their wellbeing, there is darkness in your movements and I wish you luck on your jouney. ❤️

Caption : Sweet baby Bunz. Man we gave it all we had. You ate like a champ, loved your fresh cut grass buffet. Didn’t like your ears rubbed. Fell into a coma when i brushed your scabbed and rain rotted skin. Your eye lashes were the longest I’d seen. You were smart in there. Precocious and spoiled. Spoiled in alfalfa but also in neglect. We were racing against a clock that started to sound more like a time bomb than a happy surprise. You stopped getting up and when you wouldn’t try anymore I sat with you at 4am so you could use my body to prop yourself up as we sat together as you died. It took all night. We let you rest your head and made sure you were warm. You made it through the entire night and I urged Cameron towards a miricle. Dr Cameron is like me, we want to try until there is nothing left to try. We met that threshold the three of us. Together. Death came gently and finally she wasn’t in a constant state of failure she is eternally full now. With Felix and Ariel and Aladdin. These 4 Arabian foals are the result of inhuman hoarding of champion bloodline Arabians. Bred and kept for semon and the money that it goes for on th e Arabian market. I promise Bunny. You have not died in vein. Everyone responsible for your body score will come face to face with karma. You have my word.

This is an emotional support video compliments of handsome Little Don & Starr here to remind us (and me) that they found a safe landing because of our combined efforts. Not only did they survive the slaughter pipeline as babies, they also were pulled from the brink of illness that would have no doubt kept them from the lifetime of cuddles they are most definitely in store to receive. ❤️ When I want to remember how beautiful this life is…this is what I do❤️ My gratefulness practice 1. Caption : Finally Muddy and his buddies make it to Moon Mountain. The majority of this group is also from the 50 reservation baby directship semi interception. Green tags mean straight to slaughter. Lucky for these babies, that was not their journey. Thanks to a mass bail partnership between @allseatedinabarn and @moon_mountain_sanctuary these babies were not sold for their meat. Freezing temps and snow held us up this month from pulling our babies out from @equinesportsmedicineesm overflow in Texas but now we have nice weather and these babies have almost doubled in size😳 it’s crazy what just a little care can do for a growing baby. Game changers. Muddy and 4 other boys in this group have been gelded. Vaxed wormed and passed through their strangles phase. We are still keeping them separate from other babies but mainly in the aim of starting their gentling process. We will let them settle for a week then the “plan” is to get to school. We all know about plans though don’t we lol. Come hell or high water, these youngsters will learn to trust a human and come to realize we all aren’t that bad. This Arabian baby rescue is no little girls game. I was up at 3:30am worried about them and went out to feed. Till 11pm last night trying to get the pond pump to not die on me the day before our actual well gets hooked up. We’ve lost our pond pump. I told Duke we HAVE to have this well connected 2moro no other option. How wild the timing. We will carry buckets of water from other troughs this morning to distribute the water until the well gets officially connected. This life is unreal. 🙈

Caption : 10 Reservation babies at the Bowie kill pen Auction. This goal is to raise 2k per baby to cover vet, coggins, vaccines, health certs, initial training and then winter feed for a window until they are adopted to a forever home. Who knows if we will make it to 20k but however much money we raise I will use it to go to the babies. I always do. There are also a couple direct ships that I may pull. I will make another fundraiser for Mouse too. Working side by side @allseatedinabarn and I are combining forces to do as MUCH good as we can out here on this kill pen auction floor. Keeping these babies out of the hands of horse flippers and direct ship lots, we are their gateway out of this pipeline. We bring them to gentle peace and then only one more stop. Home. Roan-me-over would drop from a double dose of tranquilizer so not able to give him anymore, Cam told them to open the squeeze and as he took a step he dropped. The. As they prepared him for castration, she touched him and he kicked out so they had to then tie his legs. What a willful young horse. He is stunning with his one blue eye. With an intensity very unique to him.

Caption : There are still 33 donkeys who were dropped off at the Bowie Auction House because the breeder lost their lease. Sadly they could ship to Mexico any day and most of the Jenny pairs are pregnant. Not only are the pregnant but they also have their adult children with them. Can’t imagine donkey families facing the horrors of slaughter. We can help by giving them a forever home on 40 acres where they can grow old with their donkey friends and families. In order to do this we need to raise $100,000 for auction fees, transport, vet care, boarding fees until Kingman location is ready and fencing for 40 acres in Kingman. @roarsanctuary has offered to house and care for the donkeys until our Kingman facilty is ready. @dawnolivieri has offered to help with the auction fees. We have an awesome team working hard to get this done in the next couple of days. Here is how you can help: 1) pledge a donation amount in the comments or DM.
