Caption : Oof. Matty P. We were children here. You had come by to visit me and @maevequinlan while I was doing a photo shoot with our buddy @tucker_photos . As you drove to my house, the paparazzi followed you up my driveway. You were so apologetic. Even at the height of your incredible fame and career, you were kind and respectful, had such a good heart, and man you always made us laugh so damn hard. So many good times. And then about a year after this pic, you introduced me to my amazing husband @jonnysilverman . Almost 20 years ago now. And for that, you will ALWAYS be a part of our story. We will always be grateful to you. Even though life went by and we didn’t see each other on the regular, every year we would text you on our anniversary and thank you. And you always responded with a “Best thing I ever did”, or something of the sort. So thanks, Matty. Caption : Best. Family. Vacay. Ever. Perfect mix of family time, chill time, and fun time. I honestly didn’t know you could have a vacation WITH your kid—-this is news to me!?!? Every trip we’ve taken with EJ has been so exhausting we barely make it to the finish line. We limp back to LA, sore backs, under slept, ragged. Parents of Spirited/Deeply Feeling Kids, you hear me?!! 😝🙌🏼 She’s an incredible kid, but as I’ve said here before, has ZERO CHILL. Sometimes we watch other kids EJ goes to school with, and they just sit reading a book, or play quietly by themselves. This is not our kid!!! It is level 200, alllll the time!!!! But something about age 5, she’s feeling happy and secure, and this beach town that is all about relaxing….it’s perfect. We have spent the days swimming and napping. All the simplest moments that mean so much. Very grateful for this time.

Caption : This man, a true legend, a father, a husband, a Rabbi, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, and a friend to so many. We all called him ‘Dad’ and ‘Pop’ and ‘Saba’. He was 99 years young, still the life of the party, sharp as a tack, funny and charismatic and loving. We already miss him so much. Pop, I am damn lucky you came as a package-deal with my amazing husband. Thank you for showing me how to properly live life, by loving and living in a big, beautiful way. You went surrounded by your adoring family, peacefully and with grace and acceptance. It’s hard to imagine life without you, without your daily check-ins with Jonny, without your weekly EJ visits.
