I started this year performing in Hamilton where I completed my 700th show, while in Hamilton I was filming a TV show that shot in NYC all while simultaneously moving back to LA. I wrapped that and booked a TV show right after. I was exhausted and lost touch a bit. God has been so good this year bringing me back. During the strike I lost my artistic self and was able to fall back in love with who I AM. Which inspired me to complete my first EP that is dropping next year. I’m thankful for my tribe that kept me grounded everyday. Sometimes I felt so lost, and that’s okay because I always end up finding him at the end of the day. 2023 was self discovery. 2024 will be self love and I’m so excited for the next chapter in my journey 🙏🏾

Caption : Getting the chance to play Des on Grownish has been such an incredible opportunity. Let’s be clear here, there has never been a character like him on TV. Des is a pansexual/queer identifying man who bends gender norms, it’s rare we see a queer character who isn’t condemned to stereotypical ultra feminization, which please don’t get me wrong we needed to see those black fem queer characters as well. But queer people aren’t always feminine sometimes they are masculine, sometimes they are athletes, sometimes they are rappers, sometimes they are fire fighters, shit they are just people. You can’t police people and tell them how masculine or feminine they should be. Des is so damn inspiring living his life as he wants to, how he wants to. If he wants to wear sweats that day he will, if he wants to wear a skirt that day he will. He can do all of this and more with a woman on his arm. Caption : Getting the chance to play Des on Grownish has been such an incredible opportunity. Let’s be clear here, there has never been a character like him on TV. Des is a pansexual/queer identifying man who bends gender norms, it’s rare we see a queer character who isn’t condemned to stereotypical ultra feminization, which please don’t get me wrong we needed to see those black fem queer characters as well. But queer people aren’t always feminine sometimes they are masculine, sometimes they are athletes, sometimes they are rappers, sometimes they are fire fighters, shit they are just people. You can’t police people and tell them how masculine or feminine they should be. Des is so damn inspiring living his life as he wants to, how he wants to. If he wants to wear sweats that day he will, if he wants to wear a skirt that day he will. He can do all of this and more with a woman on his arm.
